Our Story & Our Founder

Well Room was founded in 2020 by Megan Kingdon, a double Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANP-C / WHNP-C), who believes that good health is our birthright and that we should have access to services that do more than just mitigate sickness. Her vision was to offer an array of effective services, products and education under one roof to help achieve and support optimal health. Step inside and you’ll find the means to up-level your wellness in a fun, accessible way.

Megan’s work in the field of health was born of her lifelong fascination and study of the human body and the ways our lifestyle dictates our health and wellbeing.

Her curiosity and study led her to become a Nurse and a Nurse Practitioner - earning a dual Master’s degree from Columbia University in Both Adult Medicine and Women’s Health, with a subspecialty in Integrative Medicine. While earning her Masters in NYC, she also became a Yoga instructor (RYT-200).

In 2011 she became a Functional Nutritional coach in order to dive deeper and help clients find an accessible, customized path to their best health. She has continued to add to Her Credentials by becoming a certified IV Therapy provider and ongoing Aesthetic Medicine training.

WHAT SETS US APART

The Well Room Difference

  • Therapeutic Dosing is a specialized way of ensuring that you are getting the most optimal amount of nutrients based on proven medical evidence.

    What that means is that the dosing of components we provide in your IV’s can ‘move the meter’ on how you feel, heal and look. The presence of a component without optimal dosing is not enough. The difference between 1000 and 5000 mg of Vitamin C is significant. If you want to see your immunity or skin condition improve you have to dose adequately.

    Our nurses and staff are specially trained to dose your IV bag appropriately, gauging your needs from the intake consultation at the beginning of your service.

    We are the only wellness business in Charlottesville that offers customized IV Nutrition service.

  • Our entire space is clean, spacious, and quiet. The space has soothing lighting, comfortable reclining chairs, and beautiful artwork to make your experience that much more exceptional. We offer blankets and organic tea with your service.

    Our staff is very hands-on and can help with any questions or concerns you might have in the process.

  • Each of our nurses come to us with exceptional records, a rigorous sourcing and onboarding process, and years of medical experience - there’s nothing we haven’t seen! They are expertly trained to provide the best possible experience.

  • Coming from a doctor’s appointment at the hospital? On your way back from class? We’re right off of West Main Street in Charlottesville. We welcome walk-ins. Our ample parking and convenience makes us the go-to wellness spot in town.
